WATER OFFENCES
The followings are the offences and penalties as stipulated in the Water Ordinance 1994 and Water Supply Regulations 1995:-

| Illegal Shifting of meter. | Offence under Reg.84(2) Maximum fine RM 5,000 |
| Tapping from hydrant, air valves fittings etc. | Offence under Section 43 First offence fine RM 500 Second time RM 1,000 |
| Stealing water from communication pipe. | Offence under Section 43 First offence fine RM 500 Second time RM 1,000 |
| Tampering with water meter or supply pipe. | Offence under Section 41 Maximum fine RM 5,000 |
| Using water from supply chargeable at domestic rare for purposes other than domestic. | Offence under Section 41 Maximum fine RM 5,000 |
| Polluting the water works. | Offence under Section 45 (i) Maximum fine RM 1,000 (ii) Failure to comply with notice to cease offence an additional fine of RM 2,000 |
