Water Leakage Problem
(i) How to check whether there is any pipe leaking on customer side?
You turn off all the taps in your house and make sure the inlet to any tank is also turn off. Then check whether the meter is still running. Both Stop Cock at meter point shall be opened. If it is still running, there is leakage in your internal plumbing system. Sometimes it may due to tank overflowing.
(ii)In the case of pipe leaking on the customer’s side, will SWB help to repair?
You have to engage a SWB’s Licensed Pipe Fitters to carry out the repair. SWB’s responsibility is up to meter point. The list of the Licensed Pipe Fitters is available at SWB’s office.
(iii) I have reported about the leakage to your meter reader, why still nobody comes to take action. Do I have to call SWB?
