Temporary Disconnection/Reconnection of Water Supply on Request
The water meter to a premise which is not occupied may still register due to leakage or if some one forgets to turn off a tap. Also there is a minimum charge involved for an active account.
So if a consumer feels that a premise may not need water for a period of time, the consumer may request for TEMPORARY DISCONNECTION of the water supply.
Upon reconnection:
(a) The consumer will have to pay collateral deposit/topping up collateral deposit to the current rate;
(b) The supply will registered in the name of the legal owner;
(c) The consumer will be charged “turning on” fee (RM 5.50) which will be included in the first monthly bill after reconnection.
